　　今天我们来学习can 和be able to的区别。我们都知道两者都能表示"能够"的意思，但它们的区别在哪里，我们一起来学习下。

　　⑴can只有一般现在时与一般过去时;be able to可用于各种时态，包括现在时、过去时、将来时和完成时。

　　e.g

　　①You can/are able to make good money at this job.

　　你做这个工作可以挣很多钱。

　　②The physics problem was hard but I could/was able to work it out.

　　这道物理题虽然很难，但我把它做出来了。

　　③If you work a little harder,you can/will be able to pass the exam.

　　如果你再刻苦一点就能通过这次考试。

　　⑵be able to 可以用在不定式之后，而can不能。

　　e.g

　　I hope to be able to surfing with you on Sunday.

　　我希望周日可以和你一起去冲浪。

　　⑶在过去式中could表示过去有能力做，was/were able to 表示过去有能力做且成功做到了。

　　e.g

　　①Some of us can use the computer now but we couldn't three years ago.

　　现在我们中的一些人会用电脑了，但三年前我们不会。

　　②He was able to swim across the Yangtzs River last summer.

　　他去年夏天能够游过长江。
